HSM/Hunting Shack Bullets Lead Round Nose Flat Point Features The HSM/Hunting Shack Bullets Lead Round Nose Flat Point is a hard cast lead projectile designed specifically for the .45-70 cartridge measuring .459 in diameter to match factory and reloading dies built for the caliber. At 405 grains this bullet carries the heavy deep-penetrating profile that handloaders rely on for hunting medium to large game with lever action and single shot rifles. The round nose flat point design feeds reliably through tubular magazines found in classic lever guns while still delivering a wide flat meplat for solid expansion and energy transfer on impact. Hard cast lead construction resists deformation during feeding and reduces barrel leading compared to softer lead alloys keeping accuracy consistent through extended reloading sessions. Each 250-count box gives handloaders a substantial supply of projectiles for working up loads or stocking a reloading bench ahead of hunting season. Because these are component bullets they are intended strictly for handloading and are not a substitute for finished loaded ammunition. Consistent weight and diameter from bullet to bullet help reloaders achieve repeatable velocities and accuracy as they develop loads for their specific rifle. Handloaders who shoot .45-70 for hunting cowboy action or classic rifle enthusiasm will find this hard cast flat point bullet a dependable building block for their ammunition.
