Guntec AR-15 Ultra Light Handguard Features The Guntec AR-15 Ultra Light Handguard is machined from T6 aluminum and designed to cut weight from the front end of an AR-15 build without compromising strength. At 10 inches Specter length the handguard provides enough real estate for a weapon light foregrip or sling mount while staying short enough to keep the rifle balanced. The M-LOK slot system runs the full length of the rail giving the shooter direct mounting points without the need for separate rail sections. That modularity lets the build be configured and reconfigured as mission needs change. Installation uses a proprietary barrel nut included with the handguard that slides over the existing barrel nut and locks up tight against the receiver with six screws. That tight fit against the receiver face eliminates play between the handguard and the upper which in turn allows for a monolithic top rail that runs continuously from the receiver to the front of the handguard. A continuous 1913 rail on top gives the shooter a consistent uninterrupted mounting surface for optics or iron sights. Built for shooters who want a lighter free floating handguard the Guntec Ultra Light Handguard is a solid upgrade for sale at GrabAGun.
