A mid-length gas system enhanced with a nitrided gas tube improves resistance to high heat and corrosion over the course of extended shooting sessions. The DPMS Panther Arms 15 M-LOK free-float rail gives shooters generous real estate for mounting lights optics and other accessories without touching the free-floated barrel. A low profile adjustable click gas block and an A2-style muzzle device round out the gas system and muzzle configuration for dependable cycling. Both the upper and lower receivers are precision machined from forged 7075-T6 aluminum and finished with a black Type 3 hard coat anodized coating rated to MIL-8625 standards giving the rifle a durable wear-resistant exterior. The bolt carrier group uses a tool steel 9310 bolt assembly with extra strength extractor springs nitride treated for increased durability under repeated cycling.
