Blue Force Gear The Shear Tourniquet Hammock Features The Blue Force Gear Shear Tourniquet Hammock solves a simple but important problem by giving a tourniquet its own dedicated protected mounting location without consuming extra space on a belt or plate carrier. It mounts to either the MOLLE or belt mounted Micro Trauma Kit Now or to any other MOLLE pouch that offers a 3 column footprint including the Trauma Kit Now and Vertical Utility Pouch. Installation is simple requiring the shooter to slide the MOLLE straps through the slots on the Hammock toward the final mounting point so it hangs below the host pouch or to install the Hammock first so it hangs from the top. This flexible mounting approach lets users position a tourniquet exactly where muscle memory and gear layout demand. Beyond convenient placement the Hammock protects the tourniquet from UV degradation weather exposure and dirt or debris far more effectively than the common practice of rubber banding a tourniquet directly to a belt or vest. Finished in a coyote brown that blends with common tactical gear colors the Hammock is compatible with CAT SOF-T and RATS pattern tourniquets covering the most widely issued and carried designs. Blue Force Gear backs the Shear Tourniquet Hammock with a limited lifetime warranty reflecting confidence in its simple durable construction. For anyone building out a trauma kit setup this small accessory keeps a critical tool protected and ready without adding bulk to an already loaded belt or carrier.
