RIS II Quad Rail The M4A1 Rail Interface System (RIS) II is CNC machined from 6061-T6 aluminum. It free floats the barrel and gives you four full-length picatinny rails for a light, laser, night vision clip-on, vertical grip and backup sights. Daniel Defense Santoprene rail panels cover unused rail sections and are heat resistant to 300 degrees F to protect your hands. 14.5 Inch Barrel, Pinned and Welded Daniel Defense hammer forges its barrels in house from chrome moly vanadium steel. Cold hammer forging packs the steel tight around a mandrel, which gives long barrel life and consistent accuracy. Each barrel is chrome lined, Mil-Spec heavy phosphate coated and HP/MPI tested. The M4A1 barrel is a 14.5 inch M4 profile with a 1:7 twist. The GRIP-N-RIP charging handle has independent latches on both sides, so left- and right-handed shooters can run the rifle the same way.
