Specialized Butcher Grid Gravity Radial T9 29" Tire More Ground Contact. True Fit. Zero Compromise. The core innovation is the casing angle. By shifting the Sweet Spot Ply thread orientation to 70 degrees-near true radial geometry-this tire reduces radial stiffness by 30% compared to a conventional Grid Gravity casing. This results in a larger contact patch and superior ground-hugging compliance on technical terrain. Because lateral stiffness drops by only 7%, the casing maintains its structural integrity under hard cornering and square-edge impacts. You can maintain your standard PSI; there are no pressure tricks required to unlock this performance. While the Eliminator balances T9 shoulders with a faster T7 center, the Butcher is built for pure traction. With GRIPTON T9 rubber across the entire tread, braking grip in the upright position perfectly matches cornering grip at full lean. Its block-in-block architecture puts 12% more rubber on the ground, providing a distinct advantage on loose, technical terrain where margins are tightest. This is a purpose-built front tire for riders who prioritize absolute control over rolling speed. Sweet Spot Ply Radial Construction increases the casing thread angle to 70 degrees for a 30% reduction in radial stiffness, expanding the contact patch and improving compliance without requiring a pressure change Full-Coverage GRIPTON T9 Compound runs center to shoulder with no compound transition, so braking traction and cornering traction are equally reliable across the full lean range Block-in-Block Tread Architecture puts 12% more rubber in contact with the ground compared to the previous generation, sharpening braking performance and cornering stability on loose and intermediate terrain Sweet Spot Ply 60TPI Grid Gravity Casing uses dual-ply construction with bead-to-bead protection, resisting lateral deformation under load and guarding against pinch flats and square-edge impacts | Specialized | Butcher Grid Gravity Radial T9 29" Tire 29X2. 4 | Rubber
