The Kowa BDIII XD 10x32 is a wide-angle binocular that pairs 10x magnification with a compact 32mm objective for a lightweight package suited to birdwatching, hiking, and general outdoor observation. Kowa Prominar XD (extra-low dispersion) lens elements are fully multi-coated and treated with KR hydrophobic coatings to repel water, dirt, and fingerprints on the exterior lens surfaces. The magnesium alloy chassis is wrapped in rubber armor for a secure grip and added durability, while nitrogen purging and O-ring seals keep the binocular waterproof and fogproof in changing conditions. Its Schmidt-Pechan prism design allows for a slim, packable optical tube without sacrificing the sharpness and light transmission typically found in larger binoculars. At 17.8 oz, it offers a strong balance of reach, portability, and edge-to-edge clarity for users who want more magnification without stepping up to a bulkier optic.
