XS Sight Systems Standard Dot Features The XS Sights Standard Dot combines a tritium lamp with the company s proprietary photoluminescent orange Glow Dot giving the sight both constant low-light visibility and an added charge from ambient light absorption. The convex shape of the dot increases its surface area compared to a flat lens which intensifies the charge held in the Glow Dot and extends its visible glow after exposure to light. This combination addresses issues ranging from aging eyes to deteriorating vision by making the front sight big bright and easy to pick up quickly in any lighting condition. For a defensive revolver that speed of target acquisition can make a meaningful difference when seconds count. Machined from durable CNC steel and finished in black oxide the sight is built specifically to fit Taurus 605 and 856 revolvers that use a factory pinned-in front sight. Because the replacement sight is pre-drilled for the retention pin installation becomes a straightforward at-home task rather than a trip to a gunsmith. XS Sights manufactures the Standard Dot in Fort Worth Texas backing the sight with the company s American-made quality standards. Owners of the Taurus 605 or 856 looking for a quick reliable night sight upgrade will find this front sight replacement easy to install and effective in the field.
