Winchester SXR2 Features The Winchester SXR2 is built on a time proven gas piston operating system that self adjusts to reduce felt recoil an advantage hunters notice immediately when shooting .308 Win loads from the 22 inch matte blued barrel. A built in buffer reduces wear on internal components extending the service life of the action under repeated firing. That gas system drives a strong seven lug rotary bolt that locks securely to the barrel delivering the accuracy and strength needed for confident shots at game. Cartridges feed from an easy to load detachable box magazine holding 4+1 rounds speeding up reloads in the field. An aircraft grade aluminum alloy receiver keeps the rifle light while staying drilled and tapped for scope mounts giving hunters a ready platform for glass. Included open sights with an adjustable fiber optic front and fixed rear offer fast target acquisition when a scope is not mounted or not needed. The Walnut stock carries a satin finish with line style texturing on the grip and forearm for secure handling in all weather plus a comfortable Inflex II recoil pad that tames felt recoil from heavier loads. Shims are included for cast and drop adjustments letting the SXR2 be tailored to the individual shooter.
