Thompson Center T17 Breech Plug Cleaner Features The Thompson Center T17 Breech Plug Cleaner is a synthetic compound engineered specifically to handle the extreme heat that builds up around a muzzleloader s breech plug during firing. Applying the grease before and after shooting helps prevent fouling residue from binding the plug in place which can otherwise turn a routine cleaning session into a stuck-plug headache. Because the formula is synthetic it holds up better under repeated heat cycles than many traditional lubricants. This makes it a practical addition to any muzzleloader cleaning kit especially for shooters who hunt or shoot often during black powder season. Beyond muzzleloader breech plugs this grease doubles as an effective lubricant for shotgun choke tubes and black powder nipples giving it extra utility across a hunter s gear. The 0.5 oz squeeze tube with applicator makes it easy to apply a precise amount exactly where it is needed without excess mess. Its compact size means it travels well in a range bag or hunting pack for touch-ups in the field. Thompson Center s T17 Breech Plug Cleaner is a simple reliable product for keeping muzzleloaders and chokes functioning smoothly.
