Spyderco Shaman Salt Features The Spyderco Shaman Salt is built around a full-flat-ground 3.58 inch drop point blade made from CPM MagnaCut a steel chosen for its blend of toughness edge retention and corrosion resistance. A DLC coating cloaks the blade to further guard against saltwater and moisture exposure extending the knife s usable life in marine environments. The Compression Lock mechanism formed by the handle s nested stainless steel liners provides a strong and easy to disengage lock for one-handed operation. At 8.25 inches overall with a 3.58 inch plain edge blade the Shaman Salt is sized for serious everyday and maritime cutting tasks. The handle pairs skeletonized stainless steel liners with contoured black G-10 scales machined in Spyderco s signature Caribbean Bi-Directional Texture for secure grip in wet conditions. To match the corrosion resistance of the DLC-coated blade the liners four-position pocket clip and remaining hardware all carry low-profile black coatings over ultra-corrosion-resistant materials. This attention to every component makes the Shaman Salt suited to users who work around water routinely from anglers to maritime professionals. The result is a folding knife built to perform and endure where lesser knives would quickly corrode.
