Rosco Purebred Barrel Features The Rosco Manufacturing Purebred Barrel is chambered in 6mm ARC and built with the SPR contour a profile selected to deliver consistent cold bore performance for the first shot while keeping the overall rifle weight well balanced. Machined from stainless steel the barrel offers the corrosion resistance and accuracy potential that precision shooters expect finished with a Nickel Boron coating that improves lubricity and resists fouling buildup. The 1 in 7.5 inch twist rate is matched to stabilize the heavier bullet weights commonly used in 6mm ARC loads for long-range precision work. At 14.5 inches the barrel strikes a practical balance between portability and the velocity needed for consistent downrange performance. Gas port sizing on this barrel has been specifically tuned for the most popular precision bullet weights in 6mm ARC as well as for reliable cycling when a suppressor is mounted. The intermediate length gas system calls for a matching intermediate gas tube which builders should account for when assembling their upper. At roughly 32.3 ounces the barrel keeps the completed rifle manageable for precision shooting positions and extended range sessions. Precision rifle shooters and 6mm ARC enthusiasts looking to maximize accuracy and reliability will find the Purebred Barrel a well-engineered foundation for their build.
