Rosco Purebred Barrel Features The Rosco Manufacturing Purebred barrel is machined from stainless steel and finished in nickel boron a coating known for its low friction surface and corrosion resistance under repeated firing. The SPR contour keeps the barrel well balanced for cold bore precision while avoiding the excess weight of a true heavy profile. A 1:7.5 inch twist rate is matched to the heavier bullet weights commonly run in 6mm ARC for long range precision work. The rifle length gas system meters gas more gradually than a shorter system which contributes to smoother cycling and reduced bolt carrier velocity. Gas port sizing on this barrel was specifically selected around the most popular 6mm ARC precision bullet weights which helps the rifle run reliably with common precision loads. That same gas port tuning also accounts for suppressor use making the barrel a strong choice for shooters who plan to run a can. Threaded 5/8x24 at the muzzle the barrel is ready to accept a suppressor or muzzle device without additional machining. At 16 inches long and finished in nickel boron the Purebred suits 6mm ARC shooters building a precision rifle focused on accuracy and suppressor compatibility.
