Rosco K9 Barrel Features The Rosco Manufacturing K9 barrel uses a proprietary patrol length gas system positioned to run smoother than a standard carbine length system while offering more reliability than a mid-length setup. An optimized gas port is tuned to keep the rifle cycling correctly whether it is running with a suppressor attached or bare a detail that matters for shooters who swap configurations. The continuous taper profile effectively dissipates heat generated during hard use helping maintain accuracy across extended strings of fire. This tapered design also shifts more weight toward the rear of the barrel improving balance when a suppressor light or other muzzle-mounted accessory is added up front. Machined from stainless steel and finished with a nitride coating the K9 barrel resists corrosion and wear while standing up to sustained firing. At 11.5 inches with a 1:7 inch twist rate the barrel is well suited to stabilizing a wide range of 5.56 NATO bullet weights including heavier match and defensive loads. A 1/2x28 thread pattern on the muzzle accepts standard compensators flash hiders and suppressor mounts for 5.56 builds. The updated target crown carried over from Rosco s Purebred series improves harmonics along with fit and finish for a more accurate better-built barrel.
