Midwest Industries Extended Handguard Sight System Features The Midwest Industries Extended Handguard Sight System replaces the factory sighting setup on the Smith and Wesson Model 1854 with a heavy-duty steel ghost ring rear aperture and a steel front sight post built for quick reliable target acquisition. The rear sight offers a wide range of windage and elevation adjustment letting the shooter dial the system in for different ammunition and distances. A forward-mounted sling swivel supports conventional hunting slings keeping the rifle ready for field carry without aftermarket modification. An included sight adjustment tool makes zeroing the system straightforward right out of the box. Machined from 6061 aluminum and finished with a hard coat anodized coating the handguard is built for an ultra-rigid multiple-point fit on the firearm that resists flex under hard use. A full-length top Picatinny rail spans the unit for mounting optics lights or lasers and a 5-slot M-LOK rail section adds further accessory mounting options along the sides. The handguard measures 13.625 inches long and 1.640 inches wide keeping the profile slim and lightweight in the hand despite its rigid aluminum construction. Backed by a lifetime warranty and made in the USA the Midwest Industries Extended Handguard Sight System gives the Model 1854 a modern duty-ready sighting platform.
