IWI Zion-15 Features The IWI Zion-15 is built around a piston driven operating system chambered in 5.56 NATO which keeps the action running cooler and cleaner than a direct impingement gun by venting carbon away from the bolt carrier group. The 11.5 barrel carries a 1:8 twist rate for stabilizing a wide range of bullet weights and the Black Nitride finish on both the barrel and the chrome moly vanadium construction resists corrosion while standing up to sustained use. A threaded 1/2x28 muzzle accepts a wide range of compensators and suppressors for shooters who want to manage recoil or sound signature. The semi-auto action and safety lever give straightforward reliable operation for duty home defense and range work alike. The SB Tactical SBA3 brace and B5 Systems grip give the Zion-15 a stable ergonomic shooting platform despite its compact 27 overall length and the 10 M-LOK handguard provides plenty of real estate for lights lasers or a foregrip without adding unnecessary bulk. A full length Picatinny top rail keeps the receiver optics ready so the shooter can mount a red dot or magnifier to match the gun s role. The polymer stock material and black nitride receiver finish keep the overall weight manageable at just over five pounds while maintaining durability.
