Iver Johnson IJ600 Features The Iver Johnson Arms IJ600 pairs a 28 over and under barrel set with vent ribs on both the top and bottom tubes giving the shooter a clean consistent sight picture whether swinging through doves or breaking clays. A brass bead front sight sits at the muzzle for quick natural alignment in the field. Extractors on both barrels lift fired hulls partway out for a faster reload between the gun s 2-round capacity which matters most when birds are flushing in pairs. The single trigger and tang-mounted barrel selector let the shooter pick which barrel fires first giving control over choke and point of impact shot to shot. Built on a steel receiver finished in engraved matte black chrome the IJ600 is scaled down from a 12 gauge frame rather than simply bored out so the gun carries light and points naturally for a 28 gauge upland piece. The walnut stock and forend are checkered for a secure grip in wet or gloved hands and sling swivels on both the barrel and the stock make the gun easy to carry across the shoulder on long walks. Five internal threaded chokes Full Improved Modified Modified Improved Cylinder and Skeet cut to Benelli Mobil choke dimensions let the shooter tailor pattern density to the range and the bird. At 45.25 overall with a 14.5 length of pull the Iver Johnson Arms IJ600 suits hunters and clay shooters who want a traditional double gun without the added weight of a larger bore.
