Federal Terminal Ascent Features Federal Terminal Ascent was engineered so hunters never have to sacrifice precision or performance simply because they choose to bring a handgun into the field. The 235 grain bonded bullet locks the jacket to the lead core giving it the weight retention needed for deep penetration on big game at handgun hunting distances. An elastomer-filled hollow point nose cavity expands reliably across a wide range of game and velocities giving hunters confidence in a consistent terminal result shot after shot. At a muzzle velocity of 1380 fps from a 6-inch test barrel in .44 Mag this load carries the energy needed for ethical humane kills on big game. The nickel-plated case and bullet resist corrosion keeping ammunition reliable through years of storage in a truck pack or safe. A sealed primer adds another layer of protection against moisture ensuring the round fires when it matters most in the field. Packed 20 rounds to a box this load gives hunters enough rounds for practice and a hunt without running short.
