Federal Terminal Ascent Features The Federal Terminal Ascent component bullet is built around a bonded core construction that holds together on impact driving deep penetration even on closer-range targets where velocity is highest. The patented Slipstream polymer tip is engineered to initiate expansion reliably at velocities roughly 200 fps lower than comparable polymer tip designs extending the bullet s effective terminal performance window. At 215 grains and a .308 inch diameter this 30 Cal bullet is suited to long-range magnum rifle cartridges where retained weight and consistent expansion matter most. The bonded jacket-to-core bond helps the bullet resist fragmentation supporting dependable performance across a range of impact velocities. A long sleek ogive gives the Terminal Ascent an extremely high ballistic coefficient helping it retain velocity and resist wind drift over extended distances. AccuChannel groove technology cut into the bearing surface reduces drag and bore contact which Federal engineers for improved accuracy from the handloader s chosen rifle. Sold in a box of 50 this component bullet is intended strictly for handloading and is not a finished loaded cartridge. Reloaders working up long-range loads for magnum rifle cartridges will find the Terminal Ascent s combination of penetration expansion control and ballistic efficiency well suited to demanding hunting and precision shooting applications.
