DNT Optics Hound Features The DNT Optics Hound pairs a high sensitivity 18 mK thermal sensor with a 12 micron pixel pitch and AI enhanced Image Super Resolution allowing it to pick out even slight heat signatures whether spotting camouflaged game in sunlit fields or tracking movement through total darkness. The built in laser rangefinder measures distances from 5 to 1200 yards feeding directly into the integrated ballistic calculator to generate instant precise aiming solutions based on the user s own ballistic profile. This combination turns the Hound into a complete long range shooting tool rather than just a detection device useful whether stalking game through dense cover or taking a rifle shot across open terrain. A 1024x768 micro OLED display renders thermal imagery in sharp detail and four selectable color palettes including White Hot Black Hot Red Hot and Iron Hot let the user adapt the display to different lighting and terrain conditions. With a 2.5 to 10 power magnification range and a 25mm objective the Hound delivers a field of view of 18.4 by 13.8 yards at 100 yards suited to scanning wide areas while still allowing closer inspection of a detected target. An ergonomic eyepiece with 25mm eye relief and fast diopter adjustment keeps viewing comfortable over extended sessions even for users wearing glasses or eye protection. Weighing less than 11 ounces and rated IP67 for complete dust and water resistance the Hound is built to handle rain dirt and rough field conditions without hesitation. Designed to be ambidextrous with a balanced tactical grip the Hound suits hunters and shooters who want a rugged do it all thermal handheld for nighttime detection and precise long range engagement.
