Brenneke Bear Protection Features The Brenneke Bear Protection load is built around a 1 and 1/4 ounce lead slug designed to deliver maximum stopping power in dangerous encounters with large aggressive animals. Housed in a 2.75 inch 12 gauge shell this load is sized to function reliably across a wide range of pump and semi-auto shotguns commonly carried in bear country. The heavy slug weight is engineered to penetrate deeply and transfer energy quickly giving a hunter or backcountry traveler the best possible chance in a worst case scenario. Brenneke has built its reputation on slug ammunition designed for serious terminal performance rather than casual use. Each box holds 5 rounds a practical quantity for topping off a sidearm or shotgun carried specifically for defense against dangerous game rather than for extended hunting sessions. The straightforward lead slug construction keeps the load compatible with standard smoothbore and rifled barrels alike giving users flexibility in which shotgun they carry it in. This ammunition is intended for use as a defensive load against large animals and should be selected with that specific purpose in mind.
