Berry s Manufacturing Superior Features The Berry s Superior Semi Wadcutter begins as a swaged lead core that is electroplated with copper to its final 200 grain weight a process that bonds the jacket to the core more thoroughly than traditional plating methods. This construction leaves no exposed lead making these bullets a safer option for indoor ranges that restrict lead-core or exposed-lead ammunition. After plating each bullet is re-struck to precise dimensional specifications which tightens consistency from bullet to bullet and supports accurate repeatable loads. Reloaders working up precision .45 Cal loads benefit from this uniformity when chasing tight groups at the range. The .452 diameter semi wadcutter profile is well suited to target and indoor range shooting offering a flat-nosed design that cuts clean holes for easy scoring. Rated to a velocity of 1250 fps these bullets are intended for standard pressure .45 Cal handloads rather than maximum magnum pressures. Berry s describes these as indoor range safe and unbelievably accurate reflecting their focus on consistent repeatable performance over raw stopping power. For reloaders loading large volumes of .45 Cal ammunition for practice or competition the Superior Semi Wadcutter offers a dependable cost-effective plated option.
