Berry s Manufacturing Hybrid Hollow Point Features The Berry s Hybrid Hollow Point bullet begins its construction with a precision-swaged lead core which then receives a complete copper electroplating process carried all the way to the bullet s final 125 grain weight. This plating method differs from traditional jacketing bonding the copper layer closely to the lead core for consistent performance across a wide range of loading pressures. A final re-striking process shapes the bullet s distinctive Hybrid Hollow Point nose geometry a design engineered specifically to maximize expansion while retaining weight upon impact. The .357 diameter bullet is purpose built for .38 Special handloads with Berry s specifically noting it is not recommended for .357 Magnum pressures. Terminal testing shows this bullet achieving consistent penetration depths of 11 to 13 inches placing it among the more dependable self-defense options available to reloaders assembling their own .38 Special ammunition. The optimized hollow point cavity is designed to open reliably at .38 Special velocities giving handloaders confidence in their ammunition for personal protection applications. Each box contains 250 bullets giving a reloader enough projectiles to load a substantial batch of ammunition in one purchase.
