Barnes Bullets VOR-TX Features The Barnes VOR-TX load in 7mm PRC centers on a 170 grain Tipped Triple Shock X bullet a full 10 grains heavier than the companion VOR-TX LR load s 160 grain offering making it the heaviest tipped copper bullet Barnes produces in this caliber. Constructed entirely from copper rather than a traditional lead core this bullet delivers double diameter expansion on impact meaning the mushroomed diameter reaches roughly twice the original bullet diameter for a devastating wound channel. Because there is no lead core to fragment or separate from the jacket the bullet retains the overwhelming majority of its weight through deep tissue penetration translating to more reliable energy transfer deep into the vital zone. A polymer tip initiates that expansion reliably at a wide range of impact velocities giving hunters confidence whether the shot comes at close range or farther out. At approximately 2925 feet per second and 3230 foot pounds of energy at the muzzle this load carries plenty of authority for medium and big game hunting applications. The bullet s design includes modest features intentionally chosen to make the load extremely forgiving and accurate meaning hunters can expect flat shooting repeatable groups without needing to chase an aggressive twist rate or finicky seating depth. This 7mm PRC loading is built for short to medium range performance giving hunters a dependable option without needing to reach for a longer range specialty load. Packed 20 rounds to a box the Barnes VOR-TX 170 grain TTSX is ready for the next hunting season available for sale at GrabAGun.
