With one additional port and a larger overall diameter compared to the Hellfire the Sidewinder is built to deliver even greater recoil abatement on harder-kicking .338 caliber magnum rifles. A proprietary progressive port design increases the size of the first port and gradually decreases it further down the brake keeping overall length down without sacrificing efficiency. Proprietary port geometry also controls muzzle rise without relying on top porting keeping concussion and dust signature more consistent. Installation uses a universal adapter torqued onto the barrel with a 13/16 inch wrench that never needs to come off after which the brake and collar assembly threads on left hand until snug and self-times into position. A simple round knurled nut requires no tools to time the brake and return to zero is excellent meaning removal and reinstallation will not require a new zero.
