Area 419 ALK-Harris Features The Area 419 ALK-Harris Bipod Adapter is machined in house from 6061-T6 aluminum and finished with a Type III black hardcoat anodize giving it the wear resistance to stand up to repeated field and range use. It fully replaces the factory swivel stud mounting platform on a Harris bipod letting the bipod clamp directly onto an ARCALOCK base or another Atlas-style bipod rail instead. The adapter works with the factory tensioning screw already present on the Harris bipod or with a KMW Pod Loc for shooters who prefer that locking mechanism. At just half a pound the added weight at the front of the rifle is negligible. Compatibility with both the stock tensioning screw and aftermarket Pod Loc options means shooters do not have to abandon their existing Harris bipod hardware to gain ARCALOCK or Picatinny rail versatility.
