The Helle Eggen is a traditional Norwegian fixed blade designed as a practical all-around knife for hunting, camping, bushcraft and routine outdoor cutting tasks. Its 3.98-inch drop-point blade provides a versatile profile for controlled slicing, carving, food preparation and field work without making the knife unnecessarily bulky. The blade is made from Helle's H3LS triple-laminated stainless steel, a construction that combines a hard cutting core with tougher exterior stainless-steel layers. A plain edge and Scandinavian grind give the Eggen the straightforward cutting geometry associated with classic Nordic outdoor knives, while the polished finish complements its traditional appearance. The substantial handle is crafted from curly birch, a natural material that gives each knife an individual grain pattern and coloration. Its contoured shape forms an integrated finger guard and offers a secure, comfortable hold, particularly for medium and larger hands. Rat-tail tang construction helps keep the knife easy to carry while maintaining the clean proportions of its barrel-style wooden handle. A genuine brown leather sheath is included for protected storage and convenient belt carry in the field. Designed by Gunnar Lothe and introduced in 1998, the Eggen reflects Helle's practical approach to outdoor cutlery: useful proportions, natural handle material and a blade suited to varied tasks rather than a single specialized purpose. The knife is made in Norway and balances traditional Scandinavian styling with a configuration intended for regular use. Whether carried for hunting season, campsite chores or general time in the woods, this H3LS version of the Eggen offers a manageable blade length, a hand-filling curly birch grip and the protection of a fitted leather sheath.Specifications and Features: 3.98-inch drop-point plain-edge blade H3LS triple-laminated stainless steel Scandinavian grind with polished finish 0.122-inch blade thickness Curly birch handle with integrated finger guard Rat-tail tang construction Brown genuine leather sheath included Designed by Gunnar Lothe Made in Norway Brand: Helle Series: Eggen Product Type: Fixed Blade Hunting Knife Manufacturer Part Number: 75 UPC: 7023890030110
