The Helle Wabakimi Sleipner is a compact fixed-blade outdoor knife created for hunters, bushcraft practitioners and campers who want a practical cutting tool that remains comfortable to carry on the trail. Designed by outdoor expert Les Stroud, this Wabakimi variant pairs a plain-edge drop-point blade with a naturally shaped birch wood handle. Its blade measures approximately 3.14 inches, providing useful control for detailed camp chores, preparing tinder, making controlled carving cuts and handling routine field-cutting jobs without the bulk of a larger survival knife. The blade is made from Uddeholm Sleipner tool steel and uses a Scandinavian grind. This straightforward edge geometry is well suited to woodworking and other controlled outdoor cutting tasks, while also allowing the bevel to be placed flat against an appropriate sharpening stone during maintenance. The drop-point profile combines a useful working tip with a curved cutting belly, creating a versatile shape for campsite and hunting applications. A polished blade surface complements the light-brown birch handle and gives the knife the understated appearance associated with traditional Scandinavian outdoor tools. The smoothly contoured handle is symmetrical and sized to support comfortable, precise control during extended cutting or carving sessions. Natural variations in the wood grain make each handle visually distinctive while retaining the same functional configuration. At approximately 4.76 ounces, the knife is light enough for regular belt or pack carry yet substantial enough for dependable everyday outdoor use. A fitted leather belt sheath is included to protect the cutting edge and keep the knife accessible while traveling through the woods or working around camp. Made in Norway, the Wabakimi Sleipner combines a modern high-hardness blade steel with Helle's established approach to functional wooden-handled field knives, making it a capable choice for users who value compact dimensions, traditional handling and a purpose-built Scandinavian cutting edge.Specifications and Features: Compact fixed-blade knife for bushcraft and hunting 3.14-inch plain-edge drop-point blade Uddeholm Sleipner tool steel Scandinavian-ground cutting edge Light-brown birch wood handle Leather belt sheath included Designed by Les Stroud Knife Weight: 4.76 ounces Country of Origin: Norway Brand: Helle Series: Wabakimi Product Type: Fixed Blade Knife Manufacturer Part Number: 201630 UPC: 7023892016303
