Timber Creek Outdoors SOCOM Barrel Features The Timber Creek Outdoors SOCOM barrel is chambered in 6.5 Grendel a cartridge known for delivering impressive long range ballistics out of an AR platform rifle. Its 1:8 inch twist rate is specifically matched to stabilize the heavier bullet weights that 6.5 Grendel shooters typically favor for extended range accuracy. The Black nitride finish adds corrosion resistance and reduces friction during firing which contributes to smoother cycling and extended barrel life. At 18 inches long the barrel offers enough length to maximize the cartridge s velocity potential while remaining practical for field use. The barrel s 5/8x24 thread pattern accepts a wide range of muzzle devices from brakes to suppressors giving shooters flexibility in configuring their rifle s muzzle end. A free thread protector ships with the barrel keeping those threads protected from damage and debris until a muzzle device is installed. Because it is built on the proven SOCOM profile this barrel is designed to handle sustained use without excessive heat related accuracy loss. The Timber Creek Outdoors SOCOM barrel is available for sale at GrabAGun for 6.5 Grendel shooters looking for a durable accurate aftermarket barrel.
