Timber Creek Outdoors Pencil Barrel Features The Timber Creek Outdoors Pencil barrel is chambered in .300 AAC Blackout and built with a pencil contour trading barrel mass for reduced weight on short compact rifle and pistol builds. At 8.5 inches long it is well suited to pistol length and short barreled .300 AAC Blackout configurations where overall weight and balance matter as much as ballistic performance. A 1 in 7 inch twist rate stabilizes the full range of .300 AAC Blackout bullet weights from lightweight supersonic loads to the heavier subsonic projectiles the cartridge is popular for when paired with a suppressor. Black nitride finishing gives the barrel corrosion resistance and a smooth bore surface that holds up to repeated firing. The barrel ships threaded on a 5/8x24 thread pattern the common standard for .300 AAC Blackout muzzle devices and suppressors with a free thread protector included to keep the threads clean until the shooter installs a brake flash hider or suppressor mount. Because the pencil profile sheds weight compared to a standard or heavy contour barrel it is particularly well suited to pistol builds or short barreled rifles where keeping the muzzle end light improves handling and balance. Builders assembling a lightweight suppressor ready .300 AAC Blackout platform will find this barrel a direct way to reduce weight at the front of the gun. For a lightweight .300 AAC Blackout barrel option the Timber Creek Outdoors Pencil barrel is a focused well finished choice.
