Timber Creek Outdoors Thread Protector Features The Timber Creek Outdoors Thread Protector threads directly onto a 1/2x28 muzzle to cap and protect exposed barrel threads from dirt moisture and accidental damage. Its red finish stands out visually letting shooters add a splash of color to an otherwise subdued black or stainless firearm. At 4.2 in length and 2.7 across the protector is compact enough to avoid adding noticeable bulk or weight to the muzzle end. Keeping the threads capped when a suppressor or brake is not mounted helps preserve a clean undamaged thread pattern over the life of the barrel. Thread protectors like this one are an inexpensive insurance policy for any threaded barrel since damaged threads can prevent a muzzle device from seating properly later. The red color option also makes it easy to visually confirm from a distance whether a particular rifle or pistol is set up with a protector or an actual device installed. Timber Creek Outdoors builds its accessories for everyday use by shooters who regularly swap muzzle devices. For anyone running a 1/2x28 threaded barrel this thread protector is a practical accessory for sale at GrabAGun.
