Spyderco Grasshopper Features The Spyderco Grasshopper uses a 2.3 inch drop point blade made from Sandvik 12C27 stainless steel a steel known for its combination of edge retention and ease of sharpening in a compact everyday carry knife. The blade is full flat ground and finished in a bright satin giving it a clean look while maintaining a razor sharp plain edge for detailed cutting tasks. Spyderco s trademark round hole built into the blade allows for fast easy one handed opening a feature that sets its knives apart from traditional slip joint designs with nail nicks. Despite its small stature the Grasshopper is a fully functional knife rather than a novelty capable of handling everyday cutting chores with ease. Black G-10 handle scales give the Grasshopper a secure peel ply textured grip that improves control during use even in wet or sweaty conditions. The slip joint mechanism keeps the knife simple and reliable opening and closing smoothly without the added complexity of a locking mechanism. At just 5.13 inches overall this knife is small enough to carry comfortably in a pocket every day without being a burden. For anyone who wants a dependable sharp and genuinely useful micro knife the Grasshopper delivers Spyderco quality in a pocket friendly package.
