Product Description
Spyderco ButtonUp Carbon Fiber Features The Spyderco ButtonUp is the brand s first manual-opening button-lock folder a mechanism that pairs high-strength lockup with ball bearing pivot washers for one of the smoothest actions Spyderco has produced. Eric Glesser s design puts the button lock at the base of the handle making it convenient to actuate the moment the blade needs to be opened or closed. The 3.27 inch modified clip point blade is machined from 8Cr13MoV stainless steel and ground with a full-flat profile a geometry that balances cutting performance with blade strength. A satin finish on the blade gives it a clean classic look that complements the carbon fiber handle. The open-backed handle combines carbon fiber and G-10 laminate scales reinforced with nested stainless steel microliners around the pivot and lock keeping the knife both lightweight and easy to clean. A reversible hourglass pocket clip lets the ButtonUp be carried tip-up on either the left or right side accommodating both right and left-handed users. The clip anchors to a second set of microliners at the butt of the handle which also straddles a lined lanyard tube for attaching fobs or lanyards. At 7.5 inches overall the Spyderco ButtonUp is a well-balanced everyday carry folder built around a novel satisfying opening mechanism.
