Spyderco Mantra 4 Carbon Fiber Features The Spyderco Mantra 4 Carbon Fiber builds on the legacy of the Mantra series with a refined front flipper opener that propels the blade swiftly into the open position with a simple stroke of the index finger against its textured surface. In the closed position a small sliver of the blade s tang stands proud above the handle s spine giving the flipper a positive easy to locate contact point. The 3.34 inch drop point blade is crafted from 8Cr13MoV stainless steel and full flat ground with a satin finish a combination that balances edge retention with ease of resharpening for everyday carry use. Spyderco s signature Trademark Round Hole remains present on the blade as well giving users a second opening method alongside the flipper mechanism. Low friction ball bearing washers at the pivot allow the blade to swing open and closed with minimal resistance keeping deployment fast and smooth even after extended use. The open backed handle combines two peel ply textured carbon fiber and G10 laminate scales with one scale machined to accept a nested stainless steel liner that forms the core of the knife s Liner Lock mechanism. That skeletonized liner is thoughtfully textured to make lock release quick and reliable under a variety of grip positions. A low profile deep pocket wire clip is reversible for left or right side tip up carry giving users flexibility in how they carry this 7.5 inch overall length knife for daily use.
