SOG Specialty Knives Seal XR Features The SOG Seal XR is built around a 3.9 inch CPM MagnaCut clip point blade the first time SOG has used this steel in a production knife chosen for its exceptional balance of edge retention corrosion resistance toughness and ease of sharpening. The plain edge blade measures 0.19 inches thick giving it the strength needed for hard-use cutting tasks without sacrificing a clean controllable edge. Designed and optimized in consultation with professional users the Seal XR brings the feel and functionality of a full-size fixed-blade SEAL knife into a folding format that is easier to carry daily. The fully ambidextrous design and XR lock mechanism carried over from the original Seal give both left and right-handed users secure reliable lockup and smooth one-handed operation. Titanium liners replace the standard steel liners found in the original Seal XR cutting roughly 20 percent of the knife s weight while improving corrosion resistance and long-term durability. The black textured GRN and titanium handle gives a secure confident grip even in wet or gloved conditions and a closed length of 5.3 inches keeps the knife manageable in the pocket despite its large-format blade. A pocket clip is included for quick access and secure carry. Made entirely in the USA the SOG Seal XR is built for users who demand hard-use reliability in a folding knife.
