Otis 6.8MM/270 Caliber Rifle Cleaning Kit Features The Otis Technology 6.8MM/270 Caliber Rifle Cleaning Kit centers on four brass rod sections with male and female 8-32 threaded ends and a swivel handle rod letting the shooter build the exact rod length needed for a given rifle while the swivel handle keeps the brush and mop tracking true through the bore. Because every component touching the bore is brass there is no risk of scratching or galling the rifling the way a steel rod can which matters most on a precision .270 cal or 7mm hunting rifle. The .270 cal bronze phosphor bore brush and .270 cal cotton bore mop work together to scrub fouling loose and then carry solvent and lubricant through the bore and the brass component adaptor lets the kit s pieces thread together securely during the process. A brass pierce point jag rounds out the bore-contact tools giving a secure anchor point for the included cleaning patches. Beyond the brass rod system the kit includes 100 count of 1 inch by 1 inch cleaning patches a nylon all-purpose cleaning brush for action and exterior surfaces and a 0.5 fl. oz. bottle of FP-10 Lubricant Elite CLP to keep moving parts protected and operating smoothly after cleaning. The kit covers .260 Cal .270 Cal .280 Cal .284 Cal 6.8mm and 7mm rifles so one case handles an entire family of common hunting calibers rather than a single chambering. Every component is precision machined and proudly made in the USA reflecting Otis Technology s long reputation for field-grade maintenance gear. This kit is well suited to hunters and rifle owners who want a dedicated bore-safe cleaning system ready to travel from the range to the field.
