Leupold Rifleman Gen 2 See-Thru Rings Features The Leupold Rifleman Gen 2 Rings are machined from aircraft-grade aluminum to precise specifications giving them the strength to hold zero under recoil while keeping overall weight to just 1.7 ounces for the pair. A high ring height of 1.61 clears most rimfire receivers and larger objective bells and the matte black finish cuts glare in the field. The 2-piece design mounts directly to a 3/8 dovetail rail the standard mounting interface on most .22 rimfire rifles so no separate base is needed. A keeper clamp torque of 14 in-lbs and a ring top screw torque of 26 in-lbs give the installer clear repeatable torque specs for a secure mount. Built around a see-thru design these rings allow the shooter to use factory iron sights beneath a mounted scope a valuable option for plinking small game hunting and training new shooters on sight picture fundamentals. The 1-inch tube diameter fits the vast majority of rimfire scopes on the market making these rings a versatile upgrade for an existing .22 rifle. Leupold backs the Rifleman Gen 2 line with its lifetime guarantee reflecting the same reliability and performance the company is known for across its full optics lineup. For a rimfire shooter who wants a secure repeatable scope mount without giving up the option to use iron sights the Rifleman Gen 2 Rings are a dependable choice.
