Leupold Open Range Rimfire Features The Leupold Open Range Rimfire rings are purpose built for 3/8 inch dovetail rails found on most .22 rimfire rifles clamping directly onto the rail without any drilling or tapping of the receiver. This no-tap approach preserves the factory finish of the rifle while still delivering a mount as secure as a drilled solution. Machined from aluminum the rings are finished in a matte Black that matches typical rimfire barrel and receiver finishes for a clean factory-look installation. The 1 inch tube diameter fits the vast majority of rimfire riflescopes on the market making these rings a practical universal choice. A medium ring height of .780 inches is tall enough to clear most rimfire receivers and iron sight bases while keeping the scope s centerline low for a consistent cheek weld. The two-piece ring and mount design simplifies installation and keeps the overall package light weighing in at only 2.6 ounces. As a Leupold-built alternative to a factory ringmount these rings are engineered to the same standard of fit and finish the brand is known for on its riflescopes. For shooters mounting a 1 inch scope on a rimfire rifle this set offers a dependable no-tap way to get a scope on target quickly.
