Iver Johnson Eagle XL Features The Iver Johnson Arms Eagle XL is built on a steel frame with an integrated beavertail giving shooters a secure high grip that helps control the snap of 10mm Auto recoil. A 6 inch stainless steel barrel extends sight radius for improved precision while taking full advantage of the 10mm cartridge s velocity potential. The long serrated slide offers more gripping surface for fast positive manipulation during loading and clearing malfunctions. A skeletonized trigger reduces reciprocating mass for a crisper lighter feel shot to shot and the single-action system stays true to the 1911 heritage shooters expect from the platform. Adjustable white dot sights allow shooters to dial in point of impact for different loads or distances a useful feature for a cartridge known for its wide range of bullet weights and velocities. G10 grip panels provide a durable textured surface that holds up to repeated use in all weather conditions resisting wear better than traditional wood or polymer panels while giving a confident purchase under recoil. The matte black finish on the slide stands in contrast to the stainless barrel giving the Eagle XL a distinctive two-tone look while the black steel frame keeps the pistol s core structure durable and corrosion resistant where it matters most. The pistol ships with two magazines giving shooters an immediate spare for training or carry without having to buy additional magazines right away. At roughly 49 ounces unloaded the Eagle XL carries enough heft to tame stout 10mm recoil while remaining a practical option for range field and defensive use. The 15+1 capacity pushes well beyond what a traditional single-stack 1911 offers giving shooters a meaningful edge in reserve ammunition without abandoning the crisp single-action trigger the 1911 platform is known for. Its 6 inch barrel length rewards shooters looking to maximize the 10mm cartridge s flat trajectory and stopping power whether for hunting woods carry or steel challenge competition.
