Iver Johnson Eagle Deluxe Features The Iver Johnson Arms Eagle Deluxe in 10mm Auto is built on a solid 1045 steel frame paired with a 4140 steel slide giving the pistol the strength needed to handle the pressures of the 10mm cartridge. The 6 barrel adds sight radius over a standard Government-length 1911 which helps shooters extract every bit of accuracy the hard-hitting 10mm round can deliver at extended distances. The LPA TRT fully adjustable white dot rear sight and dovetail front sight let shooters dial in windage and elevation for precise shot placement at distance. Front and rear angled serrations give a confident purchase for chambering and clearing malfunctions and the extended slide stop and thumb safety put the controls within easy reach for fast manipulation. A beavertail grip safety with memory cut and a lowered flared ejection port make the pistol comfortable to shoot and quick to clear. The three-hole trigger and skeletonized hammer reduce reciprocating mass for a lighter faster action while a slightly beveled magwell speeds up magazine changes under time pressure. Black and gray G10 grip panels give a secure weather-resistant hold while the dymondwood walnut panels included add a touch of classic 1911 styling for shooters who prefer a traditional look on the range. The hard chrome slide over the matte black steel frame creates a striking bi-tone finish that also adds corrosion resistance to the high-wear slide surface and the 8-round magazine capacity keeps the long-slide platform ready for extended range sessions or a hunt in the field.
