HSM/Hunting Shack Subsonic Features The HSM/Hunting Shack Subsonic .338 ARC load pairs a 300 grain hollow point boat tail MatchKing bullet with a carefully tuned charge to reach 1050 fps keeping the round below the speed of sound for quiet suppressor-friendly operation. Staying subsonic eliminates the sonic crack that supersonic rounds produce downrange making this load ideal for hunters and shooters running a suppressor who want maximum sound reduction. The boat tail design improves the bullet s ballistic coefficient helping it retain velocity and resist wind drift better than flat base designs at extended ranges. A brass case construction ensures reliable extraction and consistent chamber pressures shot after shot. At 735 ft lbs of muzzle energy this subsonic load still delivers meaningful terminal performance despite its reduced velocity compared to supersonic loadings. The heavy 300 grain bullet weight compensates for the lower velocity keeping energy transfer effective at typical subsonic engagement distances. HSM/Hunting Shack builds this load specifically for the growing .338 ARC platform giving shooters a dedicated subsonic option factory-loaded to consistent standards. This box of 20 HSM/Hunting Shack Subsonic .338 ARC rounds is available for sale at GrabAGun for suppressed rifle shooters who want quiet accurate performance.
