Cold Steel Mini Trapper Features The Cold Steel Mini Trapper is built around two blades made from 8Cr13MoV stainless steel a steel known for taking a sharp edge readily and being easy to maintain in the field. The 2.6 inch clip point blade handles piercing tasks and general purpose cutting while the 2.7 inch spey blade is purpose-built for skinning and gutting game giving the knife genuine utility for hunters. A satin finish on both blades gives the knife a polished traditional look that echoes classic trapper patterns from decades past. Both blades fold out from one end of the handle in the traditional Jack Knife pattern opening via a nail nick rather than an assisted mechanism. Handles are made from authentic bone in a Yellow finish highlighted with polished metal bolsters that add both durability and classic visual appeal. These handles are substantially sized making the knife comfortable to use for extended periods even while wearing gloves during cold weather hunts. A slip joint mechanism holds each blade open during use while still allowing the blades to fold safely when not needed.
