Chiappa Firearms 1911 Superior Features The Chiappa Firearms 1911 Superior is chambered in .45 ACP and built on a full size steel frame and alloy construction that gives the pistol the heft and recoil management 1911 shooters expect. The slide is optic ready and ships with both an RMR and an RMSc mounting adapter so a red dot can be added without sending the slide out for a custom cut. A fiber optic front sight pairs with the factory rear sight for fast target acquisition while the combat style hammer and trigger provide a proven reliable single action feel. The 5 inch barrel is finished entirely in chrome giving the pistol a bright eye-catching appearance from muzzle to frame. Diamond checkered walnut grips dress the frame in a traditional style that pairs naturally with the chrome finish and a manual thumb safety along with a grip safety on the backstrap provide the layered safety systems 1911 owners rely on. The pistol ships with two 8-round magazines giving shooters an immediate supply of extra ammunition capacity right out of the box. At 8.63 inches overall and roughly 2.1 pounds the 1911 Superior carries the substantial classic proportions of a full size 1911 platform. For shooters who want the heritage and feel of a traditional 1911 alongside the convenience of a modern optic mount this Chiappa 1911 Superior delivers both.
