Chiappa Firearms 1911 Superior Features The Chiappa Firearms 1911 Superior pairs a gold finished frame with a black finished slide creating a Black / Gold two-tone appearance that sets it apart from a standard all-black 1911. Chambered in .45 ACP the pistol carries a 5 inch barrel and a combat style hammer and trigger for a familiar dependable single action pull. The slide is optic ready and includes both RMR and RMSc mounting adapters letting shooters add a red dot sight without sending the slide out for custom machining. Low profile three-dot adjustable sights back up the optic option giving a reliable iron sight reference in any lighting condition. Black G10 grips provide an aggressively textured surface for a secure hold under recoil standing in sharp contrast against the gold frame. A manual thumb safety and backstrap grip safety give the pistol the layered safety systems 1911 shooters expect from a serious duty or range gun. The pistol ships with two 8-round magazines giving an immediate supply of spare ammunition capacity. At approximately 2.57 pounds and 8.63 inches overall the 1911 Superior in Black and Gold combines classic 1911 proportions with a finish built to stand out at the range.
