Chiappa Firearms 1911 Empire Features The Chiappa Firearms 1911 Empire is chambered in .45 ACP and finished in a gold PVD coating applied over a steel frame and slide giving the pistol a distinctive upscale look that stands apart from a standard blued or stainless 1911. A beavertail grip safety improves control and comfort during recoil while protecting the web of the hand from hammer bite a common complaint on standard 1911 frames. The combat style trigger and hammer provide the crisp familiar single action pull 1911 shooters expect and dovetail mounted target adjustable sights allow windage and elevation corrections for precise shot placement. The 5 inch barrel balances the pistol for both target work and general range use. Black G10 grips provide an aggressively textured surface that contrasts sharply against the gold finish giving a secure hold without sacrificing the pistol s premium appearance. Made in Italy the 1911 Empire reflects Chiappa s attention to detail in machining and finish work. The pistol ships with two 8-round magazines providing an immediate reserve of extra ammunition capacity. At roughly 2.57 pounds the 1911 Empire carries the substantial confidence-inspiring heft that steel framed 1911 pistols are known for making it a strong choice for shooters who want a showpiece that still performs on the range.
