Barnes Bullets Legend Grain 50-Count TSX Flat Base Features The Barnes Bullets .400 Legend TSX Flat Base was engineered specifically for the .400 Legend cartridge giving handloaders a purpose-built projectile rather than a generalist bullet adapted to fit. Its large open-nose design allows fluid to enter the hollow cavity immediately upon impact which drives rapid controlled expansion. A six-petal expansion pattern gives this bullet reliable performance even at velocities approaching subsonic extending its effective range as a legitimate 300 yard option. The flat base design trades a boat tail for simplified manufacturing consistency which keeps this bullet accurate and repeatable from lot to lot. At 190 grains this bullet carries enough mass to deliver deep controlled penetration once it begins expanding an important trait for a straight-walled cartridge like the .400 Legend that depends on bullet design more than velocity for terminal performance. Because it is built without the deep grooves found on other bullets in the TSX lineup this flat base design keeps fouling pressure and accuracy consistent when fired through .400 Legend barrels. Fifty bullets ship per box giving reloaders ample supply to develop and refine a dedicated hunting load. For handloaders working with the .400 Legend cartridge the Barnes Bullets TSX Flat Base is available for sale at GrabAGun.
