The XP 120 Positrack touring package pairs a wide-bodied Nordic ski with the BC X 6 boot and adjustable BC 100 poles for skiers pushing into ungroomed, backcountry terrain. The ski's rounded tip lets it float over soft snow instead of diving under the surface, while full-length steel edges hold on steeper pitches most cross-country skis can't handle. The BC X 6 boot's NNN-BC compatibility and rigid ankle support carry that control down to the foot, and the two-piece aluminum poles adjust from 90 to 150cm to match changing terrain and pace. What Our Gearhead(R) Experts Are Saying:"On a whiteout day, I stopped worrying about depth once the wide tip kept me on top of the snow instead of below it. The boot's cuff never gave out on the descent, and having the poles already collapsed short meant I wasn't fighting my own gear on the way down."
