Weatherby Vanguard Hunter Compact Features The Weatherby Vanguard Hunter Compact is built around a cold hammer forged threaded barrel that backs Weatherby s sub-MOA accuracy guarantee and the included AccuBrake helps tame recoil from the 22-250 Rem cartridge for shooters who are still building confidence behind the trigger. A two-stage adjustable trigger delivers a clean consistent break and the 3-position safety keeps operation simple and intuitive for less experienced shooters. The fluted bolt body and fully enclosed bolt sleeve combine for smooth reliable cycling shot after shot. An integral recoil lug and hinged floorplate round out a rifle built for dependable field performance. The Monte Carlo polymer stock ships with adjustable length-of-pull spacers allowing the rifle to be fitted to a growing shooter over multiple seasons rather than being outgrown after a year or two. Finished in Black with Gray and Orange sponge accents over a Tungsten Cerakote metal finish this rifle stands out from a plain black hunting gun while still resisting the elements. The drilled and tapped receiver accepts standard scope bases for mounting an optic suited to the young hunter s needs. Parents looking to outfit a smaller-statured hunter with an accurate adjustable rifle will find the Vanguard Hunter Compact built for exactly that purpose.
