Pedersoli Sharps 1874 Buffalo Features The Pedersoli Sharps 1874 Buffalo uses a falling block action faithfully reproducing the operating mechanism that made the original Sharps rifles famous on the American frontier. A 30 blued barrel with a 1:18 twist rate is built for stability with heavier .45-70 bullet weights delivering the accuracy this classic cartridge is capable of at extended range. The rifle s substantial 10.6 lb weight helps soak up recoil from the .45-70 Government round keeping the sight picture steady between shots. Checkering on the stock s grip areas provides a secure confident hold when firing this powerful cartridge. The walnut stock is finished to complement the blued metal giving the rifle a traditional historically accurate appearance that appeals to shooters and collectors alike. This attention to period-correct styling makes the rifle a fitting choice for cowboy action shooting long-range black powder cartridge competition or simply for display and admiration. At an overall length of 46.8 the rifle balances well for offhand or benchrest shooting alike. For shooters who appreciate classic firearms design paired with modern manufacturing quality the Pedersoli Sharps 1874 Buffalo delivers an authentic shooting experience.
