evo.com | Faction Skis > The Faction Prodigy 0 Skis are the entry point to the Prodigy lineup, but they don't ski that way. A lightweight Fusion Wood Core keeps them lively and light, the Elliptical Sidecut makes pivots and turn initiation feel effortless, and XL 2.5mm edges with Anti-Chip Micro Cap construction mean it can take a beating in the park without falling apart. A legit first freestyle ski that won't hold you back as you progress. We recommend a brake width equal to or at most 15 mm wider than the ski waist width. Sintered UHMW Base XL 2.5mm Edges Fractions of a millimeter might not sound like much, but when it comes to edges, it adds up. The 2.5mm edges add an extra 25% of height to Faction's standard 2mm edge, making for a stronger and more durable ski. Elliptical Sidecut Elliptical Sidecut is made up of a longer radius underfoot and shorter radii in the tip and tail of the ski. The long radius underfoot means you can pivot faster and easier, while a shorter radius in the tip and tail result in easier turn initiation. This sidecut allows for a wide variety of turn lengths, angles and mounting positions. Full Strength Sidewall A construction that places strips of protective material along the sides of each core, between the edge and the topsheet. This all-new design for the proven Squire 11 gets modern shaping at the toe with an Anti-Ice Rail protective plate so you can safely scrape your boot sole on it without breaking the DIN window. With fresh colorways and improved step-in, the classic solution for women and lighter skiers is back, and it's better than ever. We recommend a brake width equal to or at most 15 mm wider than the ski waist width. Stand Height 24 mm Anti Ice Rail Use the metal rail to scratch off ice and snow below your boot sole. Hollow Linkage 2 Heel Improved step-in performance: 30% less step-in force + easier entry with GripWalk boots.
